DOT Training

DOT General Familiarization & Security Awareness and DOT Function Specific Training for Hazardous Waste Shipping Papers is required at least once every 3 years for employees who:

• Ship Hazardous Waste
• Ship Hazardous Material
• Return Hazardous Material to Suppliers
• Transport Hazardous Materials on public roadway

Function specific training is also required for employees who:

• Load/Unload Hazardous Materials/Waste
• Move Hazardous Materials throughout facility
• Sign Inbound Shipping Papers
• Pour Hazardous Materials/Waste in Drums

Those who require function specific training do not necessarily need to attend this DOT Training, but are required to review SOPs for the functions they are responsible for before they are assigned that responsibility.
